![]() ![]() I have been using PaperPort 11 for about 2 years now and my real problem is that since Windows has a tendency to crash and needs to be reinstalled with frequency, the activation that Nuance i using creates unnecessary hassle, since you can only activate 3 times unless you can do an uninstall while connected to the internet. Except to say that I have uninstalled PaperPort 11, and gone back to pre-Nuance version 10. With trepidation, I called Nuance tech support again, and the 30 minute odyssey into tech support hell will not be chronicled here. All attempts to remove the offending watermarks failed, even after following Nuance's web page advice. ![]() I kept getting a watermark across every scanned page referring to a third-party application trial copy. However, when I recently upgraded PaperPort 10 to PaperPort 11, I discovered that the method of scanning into PDF format was also buggy. The excellent PaperPort program that I have used for organizing scanned documents for some years, seemed untouched by the Nuance disaster. The great Dragon software franchise has been ruined by poor tech support, buggy installs, and a host of other problems. I have posted before about the lousy tech support provided by Nuance, the successor to ScanSoft, in my ill-fated efforts to install Dragon Naturally Speaking.
